CINCINNATI, OH—The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they have signed the first of nine draft picks by signing sixth-round wide receiver Dez Briscoe.
The four-year deal is worth just over $1.89 million base value that includes a $102,500 signing bonus, a league source confirmed.
That includes base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000.
Briscoe’s contract also has a fourth-year escalator clause that can boost the maximum value of the deal to just over $2.625 million.
Dez Briscoe, former University of Kansas wide receiver, is the University of Kansas’ all-time leader in receiving yards (3,240), touchdown receptions (31) and 100-yard receiving games (14), ranking second on the Jayhawks’ list with 219 receptions.
Briscoe is vying for one of the final two roster spots at wide receiver.
