CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati Bearcats announced their 12-game 2010 football schedule on Wednesday.
The schedule for the two-time defending Big East Conference Champions features seven home games, six at Nippert, one at Paul Brown Stadium and four nationally-televised games.
“Our schedule presents many great challenges and opportunities for our football program,” head coach Butch Jones said. “Having the ability to play a tradition-rich program like Oklahoma in front of our fans at Paul Brown Stadium is a great opportunity as well as playing in some very challenging venues not only in BIG EAST play, but also at Fresno State and NC State. We are looking forward to taking the next step in developing our football identity for the 2010 season on March 17 when spring football starts.”
The Bearcats, who won 12 games in 2009, the most in school history, will face seven teams who played in postseason bowls last season.
UC opens the 2010 campaign at Fresno State on Sept. 4, a team the Bearcats defeated 28-20 at Nipper Stadium last season.
The Bearcats open Big East play on the road for the second consecutive season when they take on the Louisville Cardinals for the Keg of Nails in a Friday night ESPN game on Oct. 15.
