DAYTON, OH — Xavier continues the current road stretch in Dayton on Feb. 6 will tip-off at noon ET will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
Xavier and Dayton have met 150 times, 53 times more than any other XU opponent. Dayton leads the series 81-69, although Xavier has won eight of the last nine meetings and 17 of the last 21 meetings in the series.
Xavier, 16-6 overall and alone in first place at 8-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, won its fourth straight game with an 87-79 win at Massachusetts on Wednesday.
The game will feature two promotional items for the Flyer Faithful.
UD Athletics and the Men’s Basketball team are asking every fan to wear white as a background. Although t-shirts are being provided, fans are asked to wear white apparel if they do not wish to wear the t-shirt provided or have special size requirements.
All fans in attendance will be given a white Dayton Flyers t-shirt to wear for the game, courtesy of PNC Bank. PNC Bank is conducting the promotion as part of their re-branding from National City to PNC in the Dayton market.
“As we transition our brand from National City to PNC in the Dayton market it also symbolizes that PNC will continue to be committed to the vitality of the area. We are proud to partner with the University of Dayton.” said Jim Hoehn, PNC Regional Vice President.
In addition, fans will be provided red or blue towels for the game courtesy of White-Allen.
“We always enjoy the atmosphere at this game and being part of the fan excitement. We hope the fans are ready for a great game this Saturday.” said Rick Sloan of White-Allen Auto Group. The towels will be placed on every seat in the UD Arena to create a distinct color pattern for the game.
